Understand your estimate

How the calculation works

Fare = base fare + (distance × distance rate) + (waiting minutes × waiting rate).

A worked example

With a £3.50 base fare, 12 km at £1.75/km and 5 minutes at £0.40/min, the estimate is £26.50.

What to allow for

  • The example rates are editable starting points, not council tariffs or live quotes.
  • Uses one distance rate and one waiting rate. Tolls, parking, airport fees, tariff bands and any extra VAT are not added automatically.
